Space Rangers is an American futuristic science fiction drama. The short lived series aired on CBS in 1993. The show was created by Pen Densham and Trilogy Entertainment Group.

In the year 2104 the Earth colony Fort Hope on the distant planet Avalon struggles to survive. A small force of police/marines called the "Space Rangers Corps" are the first, last and only line of defense for the colonists against crime and the perils of interstellar exploration. The series concentrates on Captain John Boon and his team of Rangers aboard Ranger Slingship #377. Marjorie Monaghan later became "Number One" on Babylon 5. Funny detail, Claudia Christian [Ivanova, Babylon 5] played a guestrole in episode 4 of Space Rangers.

The complete series was released for a short time on VHS tape. It was later released to DVD for Region 2, but there has yet to be a Region 1 release. Last year the series has been released in Germany, region code 2, with also an English soundtrack.

Een kleine groep van politiemensen, mariniers die de "Spece Rangers" worden genoemd, zijn de enige die de kolonisten beschermen tegen criminaliteit en de tegenslagen die ruimte exploratie met zich mee brengen. De serie draait om de Captain John Boon en zijn team van Rangers aan boord het Ranger Slingschip #377. Marjorie Monaghan werd later "Number One" in Babylon 5. Grappig detail, Claudia Christian [Ivanova, Babylon 5], heeft een gastrol gespeeld in aflevering 4 van Space Rangers.

De complete serie, bestaat uit niet meer dan 6 afleveringen en is eerst uitgebracht op VHS. Later is het ook uitgebracht op DVD voor regio 2. Tot nu toe is deze serie nog niet voor regio 1 uitgebracht.

Only recently I found out about this short lived tv show, show well known actors, it seems like a fun show but in the 90's there was a lot of competition.

Watched all 6, fun show, of course a litte dated, but still very watchable.
